IPsec Connection Types
The following configuration options are common to all IPsec connection types,
although some of them are visible only if the Show advanced options
selection has been turned on.
- Gateway
- Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS)
- Disable split tunneling
- Algorithm suite
- IKE lifetime
- IPsec lifetime
- Connection attempt timeout
Available IPsec connection types are the following:
- pre-shared key (IKEv1)
This IPsec connection type enables defining the following additional
configuration options (some of which are displayed under advanced options):
- Identity type
- Identity
- IKE groups
- Pre-shared Key (PSK)
- Extended authentication
- Aggressive mode
- pre-shared key (IKEv2)
This IPsec connection type enables defining the following additional
configuration options (some of which are displayed under advanced options):
- Identity type

- Pre-shared Key (PSK)
- MOBIKE
- certificate (IKEv1)
This IPsec connection type enables defining the following additional
configuration options (some of which are displayed under advanced options):
- Certificate
- Certificate authority (CA)

- certificate (IKEv2)
This IPsec connection type enables defining the following additional
configuration options (some of which are displayed under advanced options):

- EAP and certificate (IKEv2)
This IPsec connection type enables defining the following additional
configuration options (some of which are displayed under advanced options):

- L2TP pre-shared key (IKEv1)
