Encrypting the SD card
You can encrypt the contents of the SD card. After it is encrypted, the PIN or password used for unlocking the screen must be entered before the SD card can be mounted.
IMPORTANT

To prevent the unintended disclosure of sensitive information stored on the SD card, we recommend using this feature to encrypt the SD card.
1.
From the home screen, tap → [Settings] → [Security] → [Encrypt SD card].
2.
Turn on the [Encryption] switch and then tap [Next].
3.
Enter the unit’s PIN or password and then tap [Next].

This is the same PIN or password used for the screen lock feature (see Configuring the screen lock).
4.
Tap [Encrypt SD card].
Decrypting the SD card
1.
From the home screen, tap → [Settings] → [Security] → [Encrypt SD card].
2.
Turn off the [Encryption] switch and then tap [Next].
3.
Enter the unit’s PIN or password and then tap [Next].

4.
Tap [Disable SD card encryption].
