Locking the screen
You can lock the screen to turn the screen off and avoid accidentally tapping the screen or operating it unintentionally. You can also lock the screen using a PIN, password, or other secure method to prevent unauthorized access to the unit. Once the screen is locked, it must be unlocked before the unit can be used. When the screen is unlocked, the user has access to the unit and most settings.
Configuring the screen lock

From the home screen, tap
→
[Settings] →
[Security] →
[Screen lock].

If the screen lock is already configured, you will be prompted to enter the unlock method, such as by entering the current password or PIN.

Select the desired unlock method and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Note

The risk of unauthorized access to the unit is increased when using the [None] and [Slide] / [Swipe] unlock methods as these methods provide little to no security.
•
For increased security, select an unlock method that is unknown to others and difficult to guess.
