Bluetooth
Information about the unit’s Bluetooth antenna
You can use the unit to connect to other Bluetooth-compatible devices.
Note
•
For best performance when connecting to Bluetooth-compatible devices, do not block the area of the unit that contains the Bluetooth antenna (indicated by the gray area in the illustration below).
Turning Bluetooth on and off
1.
From the home screen, tap
→
[Settings].
2.
Turn the [Bluetooth] switch on or off.
Pairing a Bluetooth device
Use this procedure to use the unit to initiate the pairing process, such as when pairing a Bluetooth headset.
1.
From the home screen, tap
→
[Settings] →
[Bluetooth].
2.
Set the other Bluetooth device to pairing mode or discoverable mode.
•
Refer to the operating instructions included with the other device for details.
3.
Tap [SEARCH FOR DEVICES].
•
[SEARCHING...] is displayed while the unit searches for nearby Bluetooth devices.
•
The names of any available Bluetooth devices are displayed.
4.
Tap the name of the device that you want to pair with the unit.
5.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note

You can confirm the pairing and connection status of other Bluetooth devices in the [PAIRED DEVICES] list.
Pair the unit to another Bluetooth device
Use this procedure to use another Bluetooth device to initiate pairing of this unit and the other device.
1.
From the home screen, tap
→
[Settings] →
[Bluetooth].
2.
Tap the unit’s name.
•
The unit enters discoverable mode for 2 minutes by default. You can change this time by tapping
→
[Visibility timeout].
3.
Operate the other device to pair this unit to the other device.
4.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
