Lock screen
You can lock the screen to prevent accidental operation.
You can personalize the lock screen by changing the background image or adding various notifications. You can also change the time that passes before the screen turns off automatically.
You can also enhance security by requiring a PIN to prevent the screen from being unlocked (see Sign-in options).
Customizing the lock screen

Flick the Start screen to the left, and then in the All apps list, tap [Settings][Personalization][Lock screen].

Select the desired settings and then follow the on-screen instructions.
In [Screen times out after] select [Never] to prevent the screen from turning off.
Locking the screen
Press (power button) to put the unit into sleep mode, or wait for the screen to automatically turn off.
Note
To unlock the screen, press (power button) and flick the lock screen upwards. By default, you may also press (Start button) and flick the lock screen upwards to unlock the screen (see Changing the Start button assignment to turn on the screen).
