Lock screen
You can lock the screen to turn the screen off and avoid accidentally tapping the screen or operating it unintentionally. When you turn it on, the lock screen is displayed. Swipe up to display the Start screen. You can lock the screen using a password.
You can personalize the lock screen by changing the background image or adding various notifications. You can also change the time that passes before the screen turns off automatically.
Setting a password to unlock the screen
1.
Flick the Start screen to the left, and then in the App list, tap [Settings][lock screen].

Turn on the [Password] switch.

Enter the desired password in the [New password] text box, and then tap the [Confirm password] text box and reenter it. Tap [done].

Tap [Require a password after] and choose the time.
Customizing the lock screen
1.
Flick the Start screen to the left, and then in the App list, tap [Settings][lock screen].
2.
Select the desired settings and then follow the on-screen instructions.
In [Screen times out after] select [never] to prevent the screen from turning off.
Note
If [Password] is turned off, there will be an increased risk of unauthorized access to the unit.
To strengthen security, configure a password that is difficult to guess.
