Hand strap (FZ-VSTN11AU)
Note
•
Refer to the Operating Instructions included with the unit for information about installation and removal of the battery cover and battery.
•
Take care as there is a risk of the unit dropping when the hand strap is loose.
•
Do not use the hand strap if it is worn out or damaged.
•
For typical cleaning, wipe the hand strap with a soft, dry cloth.

If the hand strap becomes dirty, wet a soft cloth with water and wring it thoroughly before wiping the hand strap.
–
Do not clean the hand strap with benzene, thinner, alcohol, household cleansers, etc., as these may damage the hand strap.
Attaching
1.
Turn off the unit, and place it on a flat surface such as a desk with the screen face down.
•
Make sure there are no foreign objects under the unit.
2.
Remove the battery cover of the unit, and then remove the dummy mount ().
•
Remove the dummy mount straight out.
3.
Attach the battery cover, insert the hand strap mount () into the unit, and then push in until you hear a click.
•
Insert the mount straight in.
4.
Adjust the hand strap to fit on your hand, and then fold back and fasten the belt. (If the belt is too long, insert it into the hole ().)
•
Insert your hand into position as shown in the illustration.
•
Fold back and fasten the belt so that the white line () on the belt is not visible. If the white line is visible, the belt may come loose because it is not fastened enough.
•
If the belt is long or if the extra length of belt is not inserted into the hole, the belt may be included when using the camera of the unit. Adjust the belt so that it does not interfere with the camera.
5.
Pass the attachment lace through both strap attachment holes of the unit (), and then secure the lace to the hand strap ring ().
•
Pass the attachment lace as shown in the illustration.
•
Secure the attachment lace to each ring.
•
Make sure that the attachment lace is secured to the ring.
6.
Close the pad () and fasten.
•
Make sure not to close the pad over the hand strap.
•
A pen holder () is also attached.
•
To remove, follow the procedure for attaching in reverse.
Replacing the battery
1.
Open the pad (), remove the mount (), and then fold back the entire hand strap ().
2.
Replace the battery.
3.
Attach the mount and fasten the pad.
