PC Card / ExpressCard

You can insert the following cards.

<For model with ExpressCard slot>

<For model with Smart Card slot>

Inserting/Removing the Card

To insert the card

1. Open the cover (C), and insert the ExpressCard (D)^*1 or the PC Card (E) with the label side up until it securely fits in to the slot.
   • For further information, refer to the instruction manual of the card.

   *1 : Only for the model with ExpressCard
   For the model without ExpressCard, both of upper slot and lower slot are for PC Card.

   

To remove the card

1. Disable the card function.
   1. Click on the notification area and click .

      The notification area is available on the desktop screen.

   2. Select the card.
      • These steps are not necessary when:
        • Removing the card after turning off the computer.
        • is not displayed.
        • The card does not appear in the list.
2. Open the cover and remove the card.
   1. Press the eject button (F). The eject button pops out.
   2. Press the eject button (F) again so the card comes out of the slot.
   3. Draw the card straight out.
